The Centre for Tourism Research was established by Lillehammer University College, Hedmark University College (Innland Norway University of Applied Sciences since 1.1.17), the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research and Eastern Norway Research Institute.
The Centre is meant to strengthen tourism-related research in Inland Norway through collaboration between professional and academic synergies. This also includes an ambition to achieve greater impact in the competition for research funding.
One of the centre’s goals is to make research more accessible and relevant to the travel and tourism industry and to public authorities working with tourism development. The Centre makes it easier to get in touch with tourism researchers, to get access to research and its results, and to commission research and study assignments.
Questions can be directed to the Centre’s director or the contact persons at the respective institutions behind the Centre. Any enquiries about R&D assignments can be directed to the same contact persons.
